*The savings in terms of CO2 emissions have been calculated using the Life Cycle Thinking method approach. The calculation of the environmental impacts, reported in equivalent CO2 emissions, has been implemented taking into consideration the recycling processes of the different materials. The Life Cycle Thinking approach considers the benefits obtained by the recycled materials, counted as avoided impacts due to the relative phases of extraction and/or production of new materials if the e-waste is not recycled correctly. The methodology used and the data are calculated from various EU funded projects like InnoWEEE, PREMANUS, projects from WEEE Forum and Sofies, EPA greenhouse gases equivalents and Ecoinvent dataset.
