Thanks to the partnership with Consorzio RLG, this year the WEEE4Future project, supported by EIT Raw Materials and managed by dss+, is travelling all over Italy with various events in high schools. The cycle of 3 meetings at the Istituto Enrico Fermi in Mantova ended on 23 February, organised in 4 classes of the ITIS and involving a class of the Liceo Scientifico, for a total of 60 students involved. The event made it possible to collect almost 60 kg of electronic waste and batteries, a sign of the active response of the boys and girls reached by the project, whose primary objective was to promote awareness of the correct recycling of WEEE and batteries through an interactive and stimulating educational path. The classes challenged each other to decree the best one in the collection activity, and then tried their hand at calculating the environmental benefits obtained thanks to their efforts through the E-Waste Calculator on the website. The event was also made possible thanks to Mantova Ambiente, a Tea group that supported the initiative by making itself available for waste collection.
